What is your job title? Currently Behaviour Interventionist, soon to be Early Childhood Educator.
What do you do at OSNS? I do one-to-one therapy sessions with clients in the ABA program. As well, I am working on everything needed to open KinderBear Daycare!
How long have you been at OSNS? I have now been working at OSNS for 7 months and had previously completed a school placement here.
What is your favourite part of your job? Being able to see progress in children, even the smallest things are extremely rewarding!
What has surprised you about working at OSNS? How amazing each and every team member is. Everyone works so collaboratively and are always willing to offer help if it is needed. I love being part of this team.
Share a funny or unique story from when you were a kid: I have always hated tomatoes, and when I was 3 one night my dad made it his mission to get me to eat my tomatoes at dinner. He told me that I was not allowed to leave the table without eating my tomatoes, or I could sit there all night. So I said “well spank me now Daddy because I am NOT eating my tomatoes. My mom and dad laughed, and realized that it wasn’t going to happen. Needless to say I still don’t eat my tomatoes.
Who is your favourite Disney character and why? Dopey, one of the seven dwarfs. I loved that he was silly and never seemed to get in trouble, and he is incredibly adorable.
What do you do when you need to get pumped up? Dance party.
What is your favourite animal? Monkey.
What is your favourite food? Yorkshire pudding.
What is your favourite part about living in the Okanagan? The beaches in the summer.
Where would you go on your dream vacation? Necker Island. Or any beautiful tropical island really.
What is your favourite quote? I love the line “I’ll eat you up, I love you so” from the book Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.
