Indigenous Connections
OSNS has a long history of working with front line Indigenous Partners.
As a part of our OSNS commitment to helping all children and youth meet their full potential, OSNS provides Aboriginal support services.
We provide early intervention, early childcare support and school support to members of the Penticton Indian Band- Little Paws and Outma Sqilx'w Cultural School. We partner services with the Aboriginal Infant Development Program to do join visits and run culturally appropriate groups for Indigenous parents regarding storytelling and development. Services vary based on individual needs and are designed with each child's interests and strengths in mind. We are dedicated to planning, developing and supporting the creative and innovative Aboriginal programs and services in collaboration with community band members ensuring cultural sensitivity. OSNS strives to eliminate discrimination and marginalization and promote inclusion.
